Indigo Winter Guard
Byrnes Guard's Indigo Winter Guard is the highest ensemble color guard performers can be a part of at Byrnes HS. Indigo competes in the Scholastic Open Class in the Carolina Indoor Performance Association and Winter Guard International, earning Circuit Championships for the last 3 years (in Scholastic A and Open) as well as earning a Finalist placement the last three years at WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio (in A and Open). Indigo's members begin to develop highly advanced technique in movement and equipment choreography as well as committing to an extremely high level of dramatic performance and endurance. This guard is typically made up of the most experienced members, but members are placed through a rigorous audition placement process. Indigo's shows are the most varied in style and aesthetic - ranging from a group of people traveling home to a team of vicious assassins, Indigo is always reforming and exploring a new identity - stay tuned for the announcement of the 2012 production!
